Show The Lord 3-11-13

Now everyone was nervous here.  It didn't make much sense.
The Judge had entered quietly.  The room was very tense.
"Let's only hear the gospel truth and accusations quench!
This court is now in session." said 'His Honor' from the bench.

The 'Whip' was not at all deterred and spoke up suddenly,
"Alive, He was, when I was done - untied and then set free!
But I had noticed something else when He had left my place.
I saw Him with the rugged 'Cross'.  Now there's your real case!"

The 'Cross' responded bluntly and without an ounce of tact,
"It wasn't me, Your Honor sir, and that is just a fact!
I didn't do a single thing and really, I did care.
I merely was the backdrop.  It's the 'Nails' that held Him there!"

The 'Nails', three, were hence accused but chimed in unison,
"It wasn't us who had Him killed (God's one and only Son).
When all the three of us looked up, the truth had come to light -
that wicked 'Crown' had pierced His scalp and made a gruesome sight!"

It hushed, the crowd, who set their eyes on such a cruel 'Crown' -
but it had sought the mercy of the Judge with sorry frown.
And then it weaved so carefully a short and subtle lie,
"It wasn't I who killed Him sir, the 'Whip' caused Him to die!"

And so it was that blame was passed around, around again -
so tell me, "What had killed Him then - just plain and simple sin?"
So then that Judge, with piercing eye, had raised his brow at me,
and said, "You are the guilty one!  I sentence you to be..."

But then that very instant, a gentle voice was heard.
The sound had calmed the courthouse down - and every heart was stirred.
"Unbind those who've repented and were faithful through and through -
for I have paid the highest price and saved their souls too."

The Judge slammed down His gavel hard and said, "I will it so!"
And that is where this story ends.  Are you prepared to go?
The heart you have you made yourself.  You're humble or you're proud -
so if acceptance you must have, you're lost among the crowd.

Don't be the Whip, Cross, Nails or Crown who passed their guilt along -
who tried to blame somebody else and claimed they did no wrong.
How long has pride now stole your soul?  Days, weeks, or months, or years?
Don't pass your guilt to someone else, but show the Lord some tears...

One Not Worthy 8-5-11

If I was Jesus, could I take -
the blame that wasn't my mistake?

If I was Jesus, could I hear -
the name 'Barabbas' in my ear?

If I was Jesus, could I see -
the multitudes surrounding me?

If I was Jesus, could I wear -
a crown of thorns set on my hair?

If I was Jesus, could I feel -
the rugged nails through hand and heel?

If I was Jesus, could I smell -
the stench of sweat and blood that fell?

If I was Jesus, could I taste -
when sour wine on lips was placed?

If I was Jesus, could I give -
could I be strong, could I forgive?

If I was Jesus, could I die -
for one not worthy, such as I?

God Knows 10-31-10

When churches fall away from God,
when theology is focused cause,
when government turns back on you,
when they create acidic laws,

when business can't get any worse,
when banks and vendors receive bail,
when bills aren't paid and debts go up,
when you, though innocent, will fail,

when even friends have gone astray,
when each mistake is yours to claim,
when heavy skies come crushing down,
when you take every speck of blame,

when children do not talk to you,
when arms are present, not the hug,
when spouse seems very distant too,
when deep in every hole dug,

when rain comes down, in buckets pour,
when clouds are whipped and tempest tossed,
when friendly wagging tail stops,
when even your best dog is lost,

when all seems dead and all seems grave,
when all you've done has been a curse,
when none can help, though say they care,
when all goes sour, bad to worse,

when life proves fragile, hopeless too,
when everything gets out of hand -
remember, God knows every truth,
and will, forever, understand.

Matthew 19:28-30 (NASB)
28 And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name's sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

30 "But many who are first will be last; and the last, first."

UNWANTED 11-13-08

Why do some complain so much, when they've so much to gain;
and others weep so bitterly? I think they're all insane.

I would have smelled the roses, ignored those thorny stems;
and gladly traded places, with anyone of them.

I wasn't ever wanted, by mother or by dad;
and not to even have a right to live - was really sad.

Birth certificate? Oh no - for I got all the blame;
and I was too unwanted - to even get a name.

Tossed into a trash can - was found among the muck;
survived that botched abortion. Some would call that "luck".

Yes, an angel found me, soothed my many fears;
wrapped me in a towel, washed me with her tears.

Rocking very patiently, she knew what was in store;
but hugged me tightly in her arms, for she could do no more.

Many rights protect us, from beatings and abuse;
but "life" just doesn't matter now, if one decides to choose.

I had no right to ask for help - even if I could.
She had to let me fade away - for no one understood.

Rights are very twisted things, Some get them. I did not;
so go about your duties now, for I am best forgot.

Why do some complain so much? Let's make this very plain.
It all comes down to money - when wisdom's down the drain.

Now I'm held in Jesus' arms, within His warm embrace;
"Lord please, for this kind angel, reserve a special place...."

"a special place right next to me, to cry and hug again.
where we can share eternity, together, please. Amen."

True story from Oak Lawn, IL on a failed abortion (1999).  The child was left for dead but lived for 45 minutes.  A nurse (Jill Stanek) held the child until his last breath.  No medical help was attempted and none permitted.  The nurse was fired (2001).  We called ourselves 'civilized'...

Matt: 25:40 (KJV)
And the King shall answer and say unto them, "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
