I Wander Yonder 1-31-13

I wander yonder over hills where those before me trod -
though aimlessly through wants and needs, yet find it somewhat odd.

I wander yonder guessing so and pay a heavy price -
by following some friends I have and words of ill-advice.

I wander yonder through my life and laugh along the way -
deceiving self, believing I am happy every day.

I wander yonder up until the day I get so old -
a speck of truth will be revealed that I had not been told.

I wander yonder 'til the time that I begin to ponder -
about God's good and loving Son, so full of grace and wonder.

With Jesus Back 1-5-13

The clouds had wept, yet sun had kept
enough light on my mind -
that I could see weak memories -
that I could never find.

I, at a loss, to see this cross
and of its fuller meaning -
had pondered some and when was done
had saw it all as 'feeling'.

But truth be told, it is of old,
the crafty serpent lied.
So overflowed, that grace of gold,
the day that Jesus died.

Was God's design that sunlight shine
on my eternal soul?
Did I assess my faithfulness?
For He is in control!

A ray of hope, a saving rope
with hallowed grace divine -
relieved my stress through Holiness
for true forgiveness, mine.

When faith survived, death was deprived
on earth, as up above.
Death isn't black. With Jesus back
I'm flooded with His love!

Christian Poets 10-30-12

We love, remember, reminisce -
God's Christian poets who we miss...
but will, in Heaven, together be,
to praise again in poetry~!

This Single Tree 11-17-11

I want to change the whole wide world
and show God's loving touch.
I know the great commission.
I want to do so much...

---

A brilliant yellow daffodil -
with color bright and full...
but how, if I have never seen -
can know how beautiful?

A peach - so juicy, succulent -
with taste that I can savor...
but how, if I have never ate -
can know its unique flavor?

A sonata in D-minor -
with music so profound...
but how, if I have never heard -
can truly know its sound?

Jesus - so perfect, wonderful -
who loves me without end...
but how, if I so stingy loved -
can know Him as a friend?

If head, I pull, from clouds above,
one day I'll understand -
this world is like a forest and,
this tree, just like a man.

Proclaim, I how, God's love to all -
and in the forest be -
when I know not the blessing 'cause
I stand in way of me?

---

Indeed, I want to change the world,
and show God's loving touch.
But change, I how, the forest when -
this single tree's too much?

What do we VALUE? 3-10-08

We love money to extreme - and to get more we plan our scheme.
Expectancy has blinded us - yet in excitement, hear us scream.
Where's our faith? Can we not see? The stars can't blind a single flea.
Possessions should not steal the heart for that is where our God should be.

We love sports to the extreme and know the players on each team.
Predictions grip has deafened us - yet when the game starts, hear us scream.
Where's our trust? Can we not hear? Noise can't conquer day or year,
Screaming will not change God's time and soon our echoes disappear.

We love sales to the extreme, the malls and such can fill a dream.
Foresight makes us worldly, dumb - yet in excitement, hear us scream.
Where's our mind? Are we not real? The smallest spokes connect the wheel.
Touch the nail prints on His hands and tell me Jesus cannot feel.

We love life to it's extreme and love our time (so it may seem).
Anticipations make us squirm - yet water's nothing to the cream!
Ponder this if you should care - that spears can't conquer any air.
Several things can break our knees - but can they bend for any prayer?

and what is our WORTH?

Some say God is too profound - He can't be known, He can't be found.
It's then that I must ask myself if my priorities are sound...
"Have I loved the "least of these", as Jesus did (to God's degree)?
And do I now "so love the world" or do I love, but only me?"

"Can I not see my Savior bleed? Do God’s commandments I not heed?
Have I been focused on myself? Am I even worth one mustard seed?"
We all know that - Gods grace is free, but He knows not - the worldly.
Mustard seeds can never boast, yet God lifts you and He lifts me.
