Prayer Of Love 10-23-11

Dear Lord and Savior, hear my prayer -
help me comprehend and share...

...please touch my eyes, that I might view -
in ways a blind man might see You...

...please touch my ears, that I might learn -
in ways a deaf man might discern...

...please touch my nose, that I might smell -
Your perfumes where Your flowers dwell...

...please touch my lips, so I can speak -
so bravely bold, yet also meek...

...please touch my feet, without delay -
so I can walk - what others say...

...then touch my hands, that I might show -
Your awesome works to souls below.

...and touch my heart, from there above -
so I can give, and others love.

Amen.

Angel Girl 9-28-09

There she was - a pretty thing,
as pure as any angel wing.
Face aglow with halo's light,
and beautiful - oh, what a sight!

Her brunette hair was perfect laid.
Her pretty dress was perfect made.
Her lips were rosy, soft and pink.
Her smile had made me stop to think.

I fell in love, right there, right then
and looked at her - again, again.
I stood, approached her cautiously.
I hoped she felt the same for me.

I held her thin and fragile hand,
hugged her close, please understand.
She was a special girl for sure,
and I was humbled next to her.

In this world, there's too much hate,
but we can change - it's not too late.
Let's not all judge what others do -
but rather love each other too.

I held the door (for I was there)
and helped her with her wheelchair.
I pray to God - but not for me,
"Please cure muscular dystrophy".

This angel girl I came across -
puts much more meaning in the cross.
I put my judgement under lid
and try to love as Jesus did.

James 4:11-12 (NASB) 11 "Do not speak against one another, brethren He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.
12 "There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?"

Liars & Crosses 5-19-09

(house of cards)

When liars write their legal laws,
and push agendas high -
then pull the rug from under us,
what all does this imply?

When everyone's against us,
when laws ignore the lies -
and when we've been convicted, then
what all can we surmise?

It doesn't pay to play by rules?
It doesn't pay to fight?
It doesn't pay to honor truth?
Assume their 'wrongs' are 'right'?

The liars and deceivers
can build their castles high -
but it won't take them very long
to topple from the sky.

Governments shall come and go
as this one surely will -
for lies cannot be building blocks
for laws up on 'the Hill'.

I was lied to - this is true,
so many, many times -
by bureaucrats in government
convicted of no crimes.

What happens when the liars
in government have risen?
You can bet we honest folk, will
rot away in prison!

Deceptive tongues, lying lips
shoot off their gnashing jaws -
but our clear eyes must peer above
their superficial laws.

My only consolation
that's true and always free -
is this:  that God's no liar and
He sent His Son for me.

Constant are His promises,
(as gravity and time) -
but all dead words from mortal man
aren't worth a blessed dime.

Know always - we're not alone
for God still loves us so.
Faith owns the straight and narrow and
to Heaven we will go.

For Jesus wore our very shoes
those many years ago -
and did not only drag His cross
...but carried ours also.
